PROJECT STUDY

Small Mouth Sounds

Connecting audiences to a contemplative theatrical experience through editorial storytelling, community partnerships, and a multi-platform digital campaign.

Role
Campaign Strategy • Editorial Content • Video Production

Timeline
Winter 2025-2026

Deliverables
Editorial Content • Social Media Campaign • Community Engagement

Small Mouth Sounds presented a unique communications challenge. With minimal dialogue and a story rooted in silence, mindfulness, and human connection, the production couldn't rely on traditional plot-driven marketing. Instead, the campaign focused on inviting audiences into the themes and emotional experience of the play before they ever stepped into the theatre.

I developed and executed a multi-platform digital campaign that combined editorial storytelling, cast interviews, social media content, press outreach, and a community partnership with Yogamour. Together, these efforts created multiple entry points for audiences to engage with the production while highlighting the ideas at the heart of the story.

Marketing Small Mouth Sounds required a different approach than a traditional production campaign. Rather than explaining the plot, the goal was to invite audiences into the show's themes and emotional experience. Through interviews, community partnerships, and thoughtful digital storytelling, I learned that some of the most effective marketing doesn't tell audiences what a story is about—it helps them discover why it matters.
