Arthur Miller's The Crucible is one of the most recognizable works in American theatre, making it both familiar and difficult to market in a fresh way. Rather than relying on traditional production footage or character introductions, the campaign sought to evoke the play's themes of fear, accusation, and mass hysteria through an original cinematic concept.
I conceived, wrote, directed, filmed, and edited a stylized teaser inspired by classic television anthology storytelling. Using archival-inspired visuals, deliberate pacing, and layered sound design, the campaign invited audiences into the emotional atmosphere of the production while establishing a distinct visual identity across digital platforms.

The campaign centered on a single concept-driven teaser that prioritized mood over exposition. Rather than summarizing the plot, the video translated the production's central themes into a visual language designed to spark curiosity before audiences entered the theatre.

Rather than adapting the play literally, this project challenged me to distill its emotional core into a concise visual narrative. Drawing inspiration from film and other visual media, I explored how cinematic language could translate themes of fear, paranoia, and mass hysteria into a theatrical marketing campaign. It reinforced my belief that visual storytelling isn't just a way to promote a production—it can deepen an audience's understanding of its themes before they ever take their seat.
