The inaugural Frederick Comedy Festival was created to help establish Frederick as a destination for the performing arts, bringing nationally touring comedians and regional performers together across three downtown venues. As one of the Frederick Theatre District Collaborative's first major initiatives, the festival represented a new partnership between Maryland Ensemble Theatre, New Spire Arts, and the historic Weinberg Center for the Arts, with the goal of strengthening the city's growing arts ecosystem.
As Communications Manager, I led Maryland Ensemble Theatre's communications efforts and served as the campaign and editorial lead for the collaborative initiative. From early planning through festival weekend, I developed a cohesive communications strategy spanning promotional video, editorial communications, and social media to introduce audiences to a brand-new event while maintaining a unified voice across organizations and platforms.
